Get Grounded

Grounding, aka earthing, is a therapeutic technique based on earthing science and grounding physics to explain how the earth’s electrical charge can substantially heal the physical body.
Earth has the power to heal, but we've lost touch.
We spend less time touching the earth's soil and walking in the grass than our ancestors. In nature, we often wear shoes with rubber or plastic soles, which act as a barrier to the earth's energy. We spend more time indoors—at home, in the car, or in an office building. But our not-so-distant ancestors lived closer to the surface of the earth! They often walked barefoot and slept under the stars.
Over time these barriers and physical separation lead to an imbalance in our bodies, but there are simple ways we can use nature to recharge.
The earth is a battery. Plug into the power and get charged.
Earth is like a gigantic battery containing a natural, subtle electrical charge. This is like a special kind of energy from the ground! Almost everything in the electrical world from power plants to your refrigerator is connected to earth. That's what the term “grounding” refers to; a safety wire that's connected to the earth.
You're a being of energy. Life force energy flows through your body differently depending on the different rhythms of nature and your current state of balance or imbalance. This might make you feel more or less grounded.
As we go about our days, we are exposed to various levels of EMF waves (electromagnetic fields) from our phones, cell towers, wifi, appliances, and all types of devices in our daily lives. This frequency exposure can cause our bodies to build up a “positive electrical charge.” This charge can last in our bodies for weeks and months because we need the negative charge from the earth to balance the charge in our bodies.
Without the balancing effect of grounding, we can have high amounts of inflammation in our bodies leading to chronic pain and disease.
However, research has evidence that direct contact with the earth's negative electrical charge influences the electric charge of your body’s cells and helps you get back in touch with nature's rhythms. This, in turn, positively impacts your overall state of health including:
Reduced inflammation and a strengthened immune system
Reduced free radicals
Lower stress levels, and a boost in mood
Decreased muscle and joint pain
Better sleep
When you're grounded, you feel good. You feel more relaxed and less tense when under stress. The earth offers so many healing benefits! Go enjoy some time outside on the earth today.
