A Way to Raise Vibration: Traveling
Mascari, Brooke. April 26, 2024
Recently, I have had the privilege to travel around the United States a bit with my family and new husband (we just got married 3 months ago!). I have always loved traveling and feel very blessed when I get the opportunity to travel. But, this past weekend on a trip, I got to thinking about how good it feels to travel. And it got me thinking: could traveling help to raise our vibration and be as beneficial for our health and well-being as it feels? And it just so happens that there is quite a lot of research that indicates that... YES! This is most certainly the case.
With transportation, gas, hotels, food, fun restaurants, and all the additional costs that go along with traveling, money is often the reason that people are deterred from getting out there and exploring the world. But, I have learned that I have never regretted the money I have spent on travels, because the experience is always so fun that the experience is worth more than the money spent! Getting out of the routine of life and simply taking time to enjoy nature, reflect on the beauty of our country, and enjoy relationships feels like it has quite a profound effect.
Medical News Today found in November of 2020, that traveling is not just good for physical health, but mental health as well. They state that traveling can decrease stress, boost creativity, better mental health, and even help strengthen our relationships! According to a study they performed in 2013, 80% of respondents said that travel improved their general mood and outlook on life.
They also found that not only does travel benefit how people feel, but in another study they performed in 2020, it was reported that people who were consciously aware of their surroundings and the beauty of nature around them, were much more hopeful and upbeat than others who were not conscious of their surroundings.
WebMD stated in February of 2024, that traveling can help you feel calm, help you reset, and improve mental power. Some people stated that they were able to feel these positive impacts up to 5 weeks after a trip!
RIT.com states that "Traveling is a great way to raise vibration and stay in a blissful state." When we travel and spend time slowing down and appreciating life a bit more, it allows us to stay in a state of gratitude and appreciation. Sometimes it seems that when we are in the routine of day-to-day modern life and with the daily rushing off to work, we can forget to be grateful for all the blessings of life that surround us. But choosing to focus on the wonderful things around us and being grateful for these things raises our vibration substantially and allows us to be in a state of happiness and peace.
Deepak Chopra describes it this way,
"Vibration is a state of being, the atmosphere, or the energetic quality of a person, place, thought, or thing. When you are vibrating at a higher level, you feel lighter, happier, and more at ease; whereas lower vibrations feel heavy, dark, and confusing."
Choosing to travel to a beautiful location or going on a hike through nature is a wonderful way to raise your vibration. It is so easy to feel positivity and gratitude when surrounding yourself with beauty. I am happy to learn that traveling is not just fun, it is also very beneficial for us! I have certainly decided that my new husband and I will most definitely be adding a few more trips to our lives this year and setting some additional funds aside to make this happen.
"Travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer."
Blessings to all and have the best of times on your travels this upcoming summer,
